February 27, 1944

Sunday

     "Got up at 5:30 and went to take the prisoners to breakfast.  Mailed Sweet's letter on the way.  Ate chow myself and came back to the barracks and changed clothes.  Mustered at school at 7:40 and cleaned up the place for two hours.  Came back and took a shower and cleaned up.  Took prisoners to chow again at 10:45 again.  Then ate myself and had a swell chow. 

     Came back and wrote to Betty until 2:30.

     Went over to the gym at 2:30 and worked out.  Went to muster again at 3:45 and went to the brig again.  Met Jay and Stone at 5:30 and we went to the show and saw, "Tender Comrade," with Gwen  Rogers.  It was good but plenty sad. 

      Wrote to Sweet afterwards and hit the good old sack."
