"I got paid today, $65.00. I went to small stores and paid $9.45 for clothes. I want to send $60 home, but I still owe Sweet $2 for Mother's Valentine.
I got two letters from Sweet.
Stone and Jay went on liberty tonight, so I was by myself tonight. After chow I went to the show and saw "Phantom Lady." I sure miss Betty being in a show with me. I wrote her tonight. I am awful lonesome tonight. I just can't let it get to me, I guess."
