Sunday

"Well my little blue room episode is over.  Wrote Mother a 3 page letter answering all her letters.  I'll bet she'll faint at 3 pages.  Jay and I went to the show and then I went over and called Mom.  It was sure good to hear her again and her call cost $2.90.  Jay and I went to the afternoon show and then I saw, "Broadway Rhythm," with Fred Murry and Diana Shore.  Darn I meant Ginny Simms.  It was swell.  Then we went to chow again.  I went to Jay's barracks and finished writing Sweet's letter, answering all her letters, 6 in all.  Then I went over at 8:30 and called her up.  It was wonderful to hear her sweet voice again.  I love her so much.  She is so good and sweet. She couldn't say much and I was a little the same way.  She said she loved me and that is what counted anyway.  She sounded so close,  I did not seem possible.  She sure sounded sweet.  It's all over with now.  It did not last long.  Call cost $5.45.  It was worth a million to hear her voice.
