Sunday

    " Went back to bed after chow and slept until 1230.
     Did a lot of reading in the afternoon and washed my whale dress jumper, it dried nice soft and clean.
     I didn't take liberty today.  I just stayed in and worked.
     I wrote a letter to Betty in the evening and got cleaned up and shaved.  Not much happened today.  Everyone was out on liberty."

At this point Dad is not filling pages.  He is writing home, and is busy with training.  My mother made her first entry under his.  I am not going to post these yet.  After about 6 months my dad's entries end and then I think she was given the diary, that is when she started her entries.
