"Got a letter from mom today, but none from Betty.
I wrote to Mom and then to Betty after supper, and then I washed some clothes. I went to bed pretty early and started reading Richard Haliberton's "Royal Road to Romance."
The moon is shining right in my window in my face. It still shines as always."
